Supporting IDPs in Sudan
Sudan is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the region. Ongoing conflict and insecurity have forced thousands of families to flee their homes, arriving at overcrowded IDP camps with little more than what they could carry. These displaced communities are struggling to survive under dire conditions:
Food insecurity: Families lack access to sufficient and nutritious meals.
Shelter gaps: Many live in makeshift tents or open spaces, exposed to harsh weather.
Health risks: Limited medical services leave children, women, and the elderly vulnerable to disease and malnutrition.
WASH challenges: Scarcity of clean water and sanitation facilities increases the risk of outbreaks.
Protection concerns: Women, children, and persons with disabilities face heightened risks of exploitation and neglect.
Without immediate support, thousands of lives remain at risk. Urgent action is needed to provide food, shelter, health care, WASH services, and protection assistance to restore dignity and hope for Sudan’s most vulnerable populations
