Emergency Aid for Khazan Jadid IPDs
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has displaced thousands of families from North Darfur, forcing them to seek refuge in Khazan Jadid IDPs Camp in East Darfur. These newly arrived households face extreme hardship and urgent humanitarian needs:
Food insecurity: Families lack access to sufficient and nutritious meals.
Shelter crisis: Many live in overcrowded tents or open spaces, exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Health emergencies: Limited medical services leave children, women, and the elderly vulnerable to disease and malnutrition.
WASH shortages: Scarcity of clean water and sanitation facilities increases the risk of outbreaks.
Protection concerns: Women, children, and persons with disabilities face heightened risks of exploitation and neglect.
Without immediate intervention, the survival and dignity of thousands of displaced families remain at risk. Urgent support is needed to provide food, shelter, health care, WASH services, and protection assistance to restore hope and safeguard lives in Khazan Jadid Camp.
