This mission aimed to supervise and distribution of NFIs to internally displaced people who fled from Al Fasher due to the ongoing conflict and sought refuge in Tawila Town and surrounding areas.
Both IOM and African Relief committee ARC identified Tawila as one of the most underserved areas, with critically low levels of humanitarian response, particularly following the mass displacement triggered by the takeover of Al Fasher by the RSF.
The ARC field team coordinated with key stakeholders at the field level, including the Humanitarian Affairs (HA), to ensure an effective response and prioritize support for the most vulnerable groups.
The majority of IDPs settled in informal gathering sites across Tawila town, where 80,000 households were recorded in 4- locations. Tawila Town , Daba Nyaraha , Rwanda and Brago IDPs Camps This intervention aimed to ensure the efficient and equitable delivery of assistance to new displaced communities.

The strong coordination was maintained with relevant stakeholders, including the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HA), Tawila Locality representatives, IDP leaders, subnational cluster focal points, and humanitarian actors, to facilitate smooth planning and implementation of the activity
